After the match, the player confirmed negotiations with the Mexican team.
"Yes, it is almost closed, 90%, the negotiation with Santos. I like Mexican football. My aspirations are to play in Europe. I think playing in Mexican football would help me in my aspirations to play in Europe," revealed the scorer of 9 goals with the blues in the current tournament.
"Only my signature is missing," he added.
"I will now talk to the president (Nassib Neme) and we will see what decision is made," added the Esmeraldeño player.

Soso acknowledges negotiations
The coach of Emelec, Mariano Soso, described Ayrton Preciado as a player with "great abilities" and a player of "hierarchy".
In a press conference, the Argentine coach acknowledged "that there is a great possibility that it will be finalized (the transfer to Santos Laguna); however, he stated that the signing is not official yet. If it is completed, Soso warned that the team he has will have to be strengthened. (D)
