Cristian Palacios and Ignacio Pallas will join the Franja from Uruguayan football.

The last offensive reinforcement that Enrique Meza was waiting for Puebla was confirmed this afternoon. It's Uruguayan Cristian Palacios, who arrives to join forces in the attack led by Canadian striker Lucas Cavallini.

He is 27 years old and his previous team was Peñarol. He comes to stay for a while in Mexican soccer, as he was signed for three years. He was born in the Salto Department, Uruguay, and he knows how to score goals. Until signing his commitment with Puebla, he had scored 14 goals this year.

According to the Puebla board, his goal average is .78 goals per game, which has both the board and the coaching staff optimistic. Puebla will start the Apertura 2018 with a promising outlook, according to Enrique Meza.

The addition of Uruguayan defender Ignacio Pallas, 35, was also announced. He comes from Cerro Porteño and already has experience in Mexican soccer with Correcaminos (07-09) and Veracruz (2009).

The team's coach says that his players will give their all, even though there is no relegation because they are professionals and the board would not like to have to pay money if they were to finish last in the quotient table.

The team finished the Clausura 2018 in tenth place in the general table, just one point away from the qualification zone; they also occupy the 15th place in the quotient. Their first match in the new tournament will be on Saturday, visiting Cruz Azul at the Estadio Azteca.
