GUADALAJARA -- The new addition to América, Luis Ricardo Reyes from Rojinegros del Atlas, assured that his animosity towards Chivas will grow even more now that he will wear the blue and yellow colors.

If in Atlas he was taught to hate the red and white team in a sports way, now that he will defend América's shirt, this feeling will definitely grow. "Yes, already. With Atlas it was, now it's much more. I'm already in two teams that have a rivalry with Chivas, it's my turn to defend América and I want to play those classics," said the new addition to Miguel Herrera's squad.

The 'Hueso', who continues with his recovery phase after an intervention he underwent, acknowledged that his contact with the organization he will defend was with executive Santiago Baños, with whom he has not exchanged concepts in sports matters.

"I have had contact with Santiago. He welcomed me and we haven't talked about football yet. I really like the style of the 'profe' (Miguel Herrera) because it's something I enjoy, attacking, sending crosses. I know what I'm getting into at América, I know there is pressure everywhere and there it's extra because of how big América is," argued the first reinforcement for the Apertura 2018.

He knows that he must regain the level that once put him in the national team, as he is not joining just any team in Mexican football, and he will receive a great opportunity to shine football-wise.

"It's a dream, something beautiful to be part of the most popular team in Mexico. I will contribute my best, my one hundred percent, what led me to the national team, and that's a big step I want to take. Championships are something I've mentioned, if you go to América and you're not a champion, it's a failure and it's something I will strive for," he assured.
