MEXICO -- The Puebla directive will exercise the purchase option of Canadian Lucas Cavallini, since apparently, the idea is to retain the players who have stood out in the club and thus continue to fight for important things in Mexican soccer.
However, 'Rambo' Sosa has hinted that at some point, they would be willing to negotiate to the highest bidder for some of their stars and they have already been asking about some of them.
"There is still nothing on the table, they have only approached us to ask. They have asked about Chumacero, Cavallini, Brayan Angulo, but being a team in construction, we want to continue with them so that what has happened for a long time doesn't occur, where the player stands out and has to return to his team."
In this sense, he pointed out, "fortunately, today we have people who are ours and for Lucas (Cavallini) we will exercise the purchase option that we had and we plan to keep him."
He also expressed that they will continue with their tendency to bring affordable players for their budget, "so that in the future they can increase their value (with their performances) for a possible future sale."

He indicated, "We try to keep them from leaving, but in the end, all of these types of negotiations have to wait until the last moment, until there is something for closure. All that is already discussed with a formal proposal on the table."
"Also, we have the case of Anderson Santamaría, for whom the World Cup will be a good showcase and we will also be open if there are options, although at this stage we are in, what we need is for people to come, not so much to leave us."
Regarding what they will need for the next season, he explained, "We are looking for around three or four reinforcements, and obviously, give the opportunity to the people in the basic forces. I believe we had a good campaign, because in the end the goal was to avoid relegation. Today, even though there is no longer relegation, there still exists, let's say, a monetary punishment, our main objective will be to be fighting for a spot in the playoffs."
RENWAL ON THE HORIZON
On the other hand, regarding the contract renewal of Enrique Meza and his coaching staff, 'Rambo' Sosa stated that "we are in a negotiation stage and we are about to reach an agreement. For my good and for everyone's, it should be ready by Wednesday or Thursday."
