GUADALAJARA - Michoacan defender Oswaldo Alanis traveled to Spain to finalize his move to Getafe, accompanied by his agent Manfredi Caleca, full of dreams and hopes, but also with much gratitude towards Chivas, the club that projected him in the past three years to fulfill this dream.

"We hope that only good things come, that is the idea of continuing to pursue dreams, what everyone seeks, to keep advancing. The tournament just finished a few hours ago and it's my turn to travel; I will have news as soon as there is something," the defender said this morning before traveling to Madrid.

Alanis bid farewell to Estadio Akron on Saturday night with much nostalgia. He experienced mixed feelings after his experience with Guadalajara.

"Three very good years in soccer, full of experiences, memories, and contributions to my life. It has a lot of meanings, relationships, friendships, coaches, in this case, I had Matías [Almeyda] and a little bit with 'Chepo'. There are many things that we learned and that we added to the history of Chivas," he stated.

He also recognized that he overcame many obstacles and grew stronger because of them, like what happened at the beginning of this season when he was "erased" from the rojiblanco team for trying to break the extinct gentlemen's agreement.

"Living through injuries, having to overcome different difficulties teaches you much more than positive things. The start of this tournament was difficult for the reasons we already know, but overcoming and finishing with the championship (of CONCACAF), the relationships and camaraderie, many things that are cherished and that I am very proud of," he added.

He concluded by sending a message to the rojiblanca fans. "Since I arrived, I said that I came to contribute to a great club and I still say it the same way. It is a club to which I owe many things and to which I am grateful. Also, to the fans for the support they gave me, from the moment I arrived until now," he said before saying goodbye to Guadalajara.
