The Azul Stadium bids farewell with the Tazón México III
Hours before the match, fans of the sport of keystrokes attended the Azul Stadium to witness the Tazón México III of the Professional American Football League.
The stadium, which was founded with an American football match between the Pumas of the UNAM and the Aguiluchos of the Heroic Military College, now lives its last mass event, and precisely of the same sport, although this time at a professional level. Whether with jerseys of the Green Fury, the Mexica Blood, or even some with clothing from their favorite NFL team, attendees wanted to be part of this important match, the farewell of the Nochebuena neighborhood stadium.
"We are very excited, my children had not come to the Azul Stadium and we wanted to do it before it was demolished," said Carlos, one of the attendees who came with his family.
"And what better than with an American football match, the sport for which this stadium was created."
Founded in 1946, the Ciudad de los Deportes Stadium's days are numbered, but it will leave with a last game, one of the gridirons, as well as a champion who will be able to raise the trophy within its facilities.
