The Lobos BUAP coach is hurt but will rise after being relegated

Daniel Alcántar, the coach of Lobos BUAP, said he is hurt because his team ended up being relegated from Mexican soccer's top division after losing 4-0 to Rayados, but he made it clear that he, as a strategist, will rise from this setback.

"It hurts a lot, we are suffering in the locker room, but they are men who gave it their all throughout the tournament, it's an experience; I will keep fighting, today I fell, but I will rise, always with my head held high."

"It was a difficult match, the players gave everything on the field, they are devastated, they were honorable men, they were gladiators, we had a penalty in our favor (missed by Julián Quiñones), that's how football is," he admitted.

Alcántar considered that the missed penalty by Quiñones, which could have meant the equalizer at that moment in the match, ended up affecting the team's morale.

The coach made it clear that the team will now seek to finish its participation in the top division of national soccer with dignity, and then the future of the team will be analyzed.

"We will have to finish the tournament with dignity in a match against Puebla and we will discuss the future after Puebla, the players are committed and we will finish the tournament in the best possible way," he concluded.

Cruz Azul players reluctant to say goodbye to the Azul stadium

The Cruz Azul players came out happy and satisfied after their victory against Morelia, in what could have been the last match at the Azul stadium; however, they still have minimal, almost impossible, hopes of qualifying. But as long as there is a chance, they refuse to say goodbye to the Azul.

This was expressed by Martín Cauteruccio, who scored for the second consecutive game; the Uruguayan emphasized that they are clinging to the possibility that it was not the last match at their stadium.

"It was a very special match, not only for me, but for all my teammates and all the people because they are some of the last matches we are going to play here, I say 'some of the last' because we still have hope," he said.

About the good streak he has found in the final stretch of the tournament, he emphasized that it is a reward for the effort he has put in and that he never gave up.
