In an interview, Mateus Uribe, midfielder for América, acknowledged that the team will be the favorite in the Clásico Joven against Cruz Azul, which will be played this Saturday at the Estadio Azteca.
"If we put it on paper, América will definitely be the clear favorite. Even if América is doing poorly or Cruz Azul is doing well, the matches will be close. We must now defend our badge and our shirt. That is seen on the field and we hope to win these three points," he said.

Uribe mentioned that they must play with the pressure that Cruz Azul has. Cruz Azul is currently in fourteenth place with 12 points and they must have a perfect closing if they want to qualify for the playoffs.
"Without a doubt, we must play with their pressure. Football, apart from running and scoring goals, is about emotions and playing with that. They have to get the three points to move up, we must have composure and hierarchy," he explained.
'Mateus' mentioned that the team has been advised not to get involved with the referees and they want to avoid another expulsion in this upcoming game, which will be officiated by César Arturo Ramos.
"We always go into the game with the instruction of not getting involved with the referee, but in the heat of the game it's difficult to control oneself. When you're in a match, you can act differently and manage that," he stated.
