Necaxa achieved a 1-1 draw with 10 men at the Victoria Stadium against Pachuca, who failed to take advantage of their chances to secure a victory they believed they had assured, in a match of the 12th round of the 2018 Clausura Tournament of the MX League of soccer.

Erick Gutierrez scored for Pachuca in the 36th minute, but the "lightning bolts" reacted in the 70th minute with a goal by Victor Davila that tied the game.

With 15 points, Coach Ignacio Ambriz's boys remain in tenth place and are two points away from fighting for a ticket to the second phase of the tournament, while the team of Uruguayan Diego Alonso also reaches 15 points and is in the same twelfth position.
