The success of Guillermo del Toro, director, screenwriter, and producer, at the past Oscar ceremony was acknowledged in the land where he was born, and the team of Leones Negros from the region gave him a gift for his outstanding year.

With the message that Del Toro is an example for all university students, the owner of the team from the Liga de Ascenso, Alberto Castellanos, posted on his Twitter account that the director of "The Shape of Water" received the club's shirt that was given to him.
"This is the shirt of @LeonesNegrosCF that we had the opportunity to give to our great director @RealGDT, thank you very much for receiving it and allowing us to pay you this simple tribute, you are a pride and a great example to all university students!" wrote the executive.
The home shirt, in the traditional yellow, red, and black colors, features a unique number "11" where the digits represent the statuettes won by the Mexican in the recent Oscar awards.
Finally, after 12 games played in the Ascenso league, with five wins, three draws, and four losses, the team from Jalisco is currently in sixth position with 18 points.
The baseball team, Charros de Jalisco, also took advantage of Guillermo's presence in the city to congratulate him and give him a gift, which they showcased on their social media.
Congratulations @RealGDT and thank you for your attentions! 🎥
