As expected, the iconic figures of the 'Máquina Cementera' have not waited long to question the work of the Portuguese. One of them is Carlos Hermosillo, who never holds back.
The former striker of Cruz Azul stated that the team would be in a better position in Liga MX if Paco Jémez (a character highly criticized by himself) was still in charge of the first team.
"Today they would be higher in the table," he said to 'ESPN' referring to the eight points and the 15th place in the standings with Pedro Caixinha on the bench. But Hermosillo has gone further and has been tough on the recent signings.
"They have chosen players that they think will rehabilitate, that will recover, mediocre players to me and Cruz Azul more than scares," said the former forward and international with the Mexican national team.
Hermosillo named the key areas where the 'cementero' team is failing. "They lack something that is fundamental in football: goals; and the other is that they sign players just for the sake of signing players, without knowing if they are top-level, they say if you are second-rate, sign second-rate players," he concluded.
