More than being bothered by the complaints from the Atlas fans about his lack of goals, Chilian forward Ángelo Henríquez stated that he focuses on working to the maximum to help the team get out of the complicated situation they are going through.
"If I start getting angry with comments and situations we experience at the stadium, it can be worse. I have to worry about working with the team during the week, releasing the anger and frustration there and then turning it into something positive. It's not worth fighting with the people," he said.
Henríquez expressed that he knows he has fallen short since joining the team, but he focuses on correcting his mistakes to contribute in what he should.
"Personally, I am very eager to improve, always looking for ways to do it better in every game. That comes with the work during the week and game by game," he stated in a press conference.
He emphasized that "what one wants are positive things, you don't expect to not score goals, play badly. One always has in mind to win games, show a good spectacle, and that's why I come to train every day, that's why I think the team prepares every day."
Regarding the poor numbers presented by the "Furia Rojinegra" in the Clausura 2018 Tournament of Liga MX, with only four points, the "Andean" striker explained that these are situations that happen, but they trust to turn it around starting from the next matchday.
"We are going through a difficult moment, but it's not uncommon in football, these are things that have happened to many teams. There is always a way to get out. Personally, I am very eager to improve, always looking for ways to do it better and that will be with work during the week and game by game," he concluded.
