MONTERREY -- Lucas Zelarayán has only played 45 minutes with Tigres in the Clausura 2018, although his name is linked to Santos de Brazil, he remains focused on the Liga Bancomer.

The 'Chino' expressed to the media that he doesn't lose focus and avoids getting involved in the rumors that put him back in South America.

"I always try to stay out of the offers and negotiations that come to the club, my agent handles that, but I didn't get too involved in the subject because I tried to keep my head in Tigres in case I get the opportunity, I tried to stay away from all the rumors, here I am, still at Tigres and my focus is on every game with this institution, where I'm happy, hopefully I get another chance and take advantage of it again," he said.

Zelarayán revealed that he keeps fighting for a spot despite not being included in the starting lineup after seven games in the current tournament.

"Good, I always try to give 100%, not to give anything away, try to show my potential in every training session and always be there to contribute to the team and available to the coaching staff whenever they want, whether it's 5, 10 or 90 minutes, give my best, so I'm training, never giving up, waiting for the opportunity and when it comes, take advantage of it," he said. Lucas appears on the list of called players for Saturday's match against Atlas.
