After the meeting held to discuss the elimination of promotion and relegation in Liga MX, Javier San Román announced that he is stepping down as president of Tampico Madero Futbol Club, because he does not agree.
"Dear fans, since I cannot aspire to what this position, in my opinion, deserves, I prefer to step aside. I do not agree with the previous certification law or with the new one that is being proposed," wrote the former governor of Jaiba Brava.
In addition, San Román assured that he will continue to support the team since they have done a good job, and also confirmed that everything will be left in the hands of Braulio Rodríguez, sports director of the team.
The team is in good hands with a great professional like Braulio Rodríguez, and for me, the best coach in the division, Eduardo Fentanes. I will stay away from social media and the media to not interfere with the team. I send a big hug to everyone. Always Jaibos, always strong," concluded Javier San Román.

"On the other hand, let's support our team, our players, they are the great heroes who are saving us from the percentage issue. The team is in good hands with a great professional like @arq_brau and for me, the best coach in the division @dtfen."
