Carlos Peña's adventure in Rangers comes to an end
Attacker Carlos Peña is heading back to Mexico to finalize his deal with Cruz Azul, becoming the latest reinforcement for the Hidalgo team in the Clausura Tournament.
While the team managed by Pedro Caixinha plays their first match in the Liga MX against Tijuana at home, Gullit Peña will arrive in Mexico to meet with the higher-ups of the 'Máquina Cementera'.
After finalizing some minor details, Carlos Peña will be ready to sign the contract that links him with Cruz Azul. However, the announcement and presentation will not take place until next Monday.
Gullit Peña will return to the Liga MX, a tournament he has already played with Pachuca, León (twice), and Chivas de Guadalajara. In 2013 and 2014, the 27-year-old player won two titles with the 'Panzas verdes'.
