Correcaminos and Leones Negros tied in the first round of the Ascenso MX

With goals from Rivero and Mora, the teams Correcaminos from the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas (UAT) and Leones Negros from the University of Guadalajara (UdeG) ended up tied on Friday night, in the first round of the Clausura 2018 of the Ascenso MX, played in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas.

The scorer for Correcaminos was Daniel Rivero in the 35th minute and for the University of Guadalajara it was Jorge Mora (90'+2) with a free kick.

Leones Negros came out with determination at the "Marte R. Gómez" field. Despite Correcaminos being the home team, the team from Jalisco did not give in and started making great plays in Carlos Velázquez's area, putting pressure on the Ciudad Victoria team.

The goal for the team from Tamaulipas came almost at the end of the first half. Daniel Rivero was the one who found a comfortable ball in front of the goal, after a rebound from Felipe López; the forward just pushed the ball to give "Corre" the advantage goal.

In the second half, Correcaminos kept calm and did not get frustrated by the attempts of the Guadalajara team. The coach Ricardo Rayas made some modifications to have the score in their favor.

It seemed that the team from Tamaulipas was taking the three points, but Jorge Mora took away that possibility by scoring a great free kick goal in injury time. The number 10 player hit the ball with great force to beat Carlos Velázquez.

Right after the goal, referee Víctor Alfonso Cáceres decided to end the match. Leones Negros rescued one point with drama in orange territory, in the opening round of the Ascenso MX.
