In Xolos, uncertainty prevails regarding the alleged doping of Damian Musto that prevented him from joining River Plate. For Ignacio Palou, the sports director of the border entity, it is an issue that does not exist because they do not have any official confirmation from any authority, so even the player traveled to Mexico City for the game against Cruz Azul.
"We have not received any notification, everything has been through the media, because not even the AFA has been notified, so for us today this is not a reality that is in the media. We are unaware of what is happening," said the leader upon arrival in the capital of the country.
A week ago, Musto was about to sign with River Plate, but the deal fell through due to alleged doping, although no official confirmation has been presented.
"Our league communicated and there is nothing. The situation here is that we were very advanced in talks with River and suddenly they fell apart and this version started circulating. We continue our preparation with Damian on the team," Palou insisted.
