The president of the Rayados de Monterrey, Duilio Davino, expressed his satisfaction because his team was crowned in the Copa MX and said that it was significant, especially because it happened after losing the final of the Apertura 2017 of the Liga MX.

"We always seek to win everything, we took this tournament seriously from the beginning, today we were able to win it in a different way, it wasn't easy for the team to bounce back after losing a final," he said.

Davino expressed that the team is moving forward and praised coach Antonio Mohamed, making it clear that he will continue in his position despite the rumors that had been generated that he could leave the team.

"His continuity was never in doubt, some media published some things, I found it disrespectful towards Mohamed and Víctor Manuel Vucetich (who was mentioned as a candidate to take over the team)," he said.

For his part, the Argentine coach said he was grateful to the fans who supported the team in the final against Pachuca's Tuzos and made it clear that the team will continue to seek improvement.

"We achieved another championship, I'm happy, we are moving forward and thank you to the fans," declared Mohamed, after celebrating with his team upon receiving the champion's trophy.
