The Tuzas, champions of the Copa tournament and finalists of the Apertura 2017, positioned themselves as one of the strongest teams in our football and largely thanks to the work of Espejo, who surpassed Roberto Medina, coach of the Women's National Team, and Amelia Valverde, who manages the Costa Rican team in this category, in the voting.

Meanwhile, Lucila Venegas won the recognition for best referee, surpassing representatives from Canada and Costa Rica.
