The red-and-black team returned to training for the Clausura 2018 with some absentees.

GUADALAJARA -- Rafael Márquez, Atlas' captain, was the main absence during the return of the Rojinegros to training.

The 'Kaiser' worked separately in a private clinic, as he suffered an injury during the second leg of the Apertura 2017 quarterfinals against Monterrey Rayados. The coaching staff is waiting for his return to the field, which would take place next week.

Óscar Ustari, who underwent surgery on his right knee, also underwent rehabilitation with Luis Fosatti, head of Atlas' medical department.

Ustari missed the tournament due to the same injury, so there have been rumors of the leadership's intention to sign a goalkeeper from Chile's football.

The Rojinegros did not have Clifford Aboagye, Ravel Morrison, and Fidel Martinez in the double training session, as they were on vacation. The latter appeared in the transfer list announced by the institution, while Ravel and Aboagye will return to the Perla Tapatía this Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Diego Barbosa and José Andrés Monroy trained with the first team on Monday, hoping to convince José Guadalupe Cruz to occupy the place left by José Madueña after his transfer to Cruz Azul.

Israel Villaseñor appeared in practice, joining the 'Profe' Cruz's coaching staff as an assistant coach. The 'Super' retired from professional football with Puebla.

Christian Tabó, Matías Alustiza, Diego Cruz, Javier Salas, José Madueña, and Jahir Barraza no longer trained with Atlas, as they were negotiated by the directive.
