The passion of the North Clásico: Tigres vs. Monterrey in the Apertura-2017 final
The most powerful teams in Mexican football, experienced coaches, the best statistical performances of the tournament, and an intimate rivalry define Tigres and Monterrey, who will face each other this week in the final of the Apertura-2017 like never before.
At the beginning of the championship, both northern teams presented themselves with the most expensive squads: Tigres with a team valued at 68.4 million dollars and Monterrey with an estimated team worth 55.4 million.
At the end of the regular phase, both teams were at the top of the standings: 'Rayados' finished first with 37 points and the felinos were second with 32.
In the playoffs, Monterrey swept Atlas and Morelia, and Tigres first overcame León, and then demolished América.
In the individual aspect, specifically in the forward position, 'Rayados' have the Argentine Rogelio Funes Mori, who has scored 12 goals in the tournament, and the felinos have the Ecuadorian Enner Valencia, author of 11 goals.
