José Saturnino Cardozo relieved of his position as coach of the Tiburones Rojos de Veracruz
The Paraguayan coach José Saturnino Cardozo has been relieved of his position as coach of the Tiburones Rojos de Veracruz, where Peruvian goalkeeper Pedro Gallese plays.
The Mexican team itself announced the decision through a note published on its website. "After a detailed analysis of the commitments faced by the Paraguayan coach at the head of the team, the management made the decision to make a change in the helm with the firm objective of achieving the goals set in the next Clausura 2018 tournament," the information says.
Did not convince
After being fired from Puebla, José Saturnino Cardozo accepted the position of coach at Veracruz to save them from relegation. However, the results did not go his way and Pedro Gallese's team finished in second-to-last place in the Mexican Apertura Tournament and sank further in the relegation average.
