Former Cruz Azul player, Julio Zamora, in critical condition after suffering two brain infarctions
The current coach of Real Potosí had to be taken to the hospital after feeling sick last weekend at the end of the match against Universitario, according to his son Brayan Zamora.
"He already felt sick (before the match, but still went to coach, during the match he had hypertension generated by the heat and altitude, which caused the hemorrhage", commented his son to Channel 7 news in Cochabamba.
Brayan also stated that "he underwent another tomography and it showed that he had two brain infarctions in the posterior part of his head. He is in a very delicate condition, and now we just have to wait. The next 48 or 72 hours are critical".
For its part, Cruz Azul sent a message of encouragement to the former player who was part of their team in the 90s and formed a great duo with Carlos Hermosillo.
"Julio Zamora, emblematic former player of our team from 93 to 96, is in critical condition. Our prayers are with him, hoping for his speedy recovery. Stay strong Julio!", they wrote on their Twitter account.
