The controversy surrounding Rayados' decision not to allow Tigres' jerseys into the next Clásico Regio on Saturday, November 18 continues, despite the fact that the Consumer General Prosecutor's Office has initiated an investigation against the club as the measure could violate the Federal Consumer Law.
The club issued a statement where, far from ensuring that they will allow the entry of the rival team's jerseys, they maintain their stance and establish that, although it may not please everyone, the most important thing for them is to guarantee the safety of the attendees at the stadium, ensuring that they will act in accordance with the laws and regulations of the authorities to ensure compliance.
In the letter, they also refer to the last Clásico, where altercations took place in the stands between fans of both teams, requiring police intervention.
"We consider that these situations cannot and should not be overlooked, and episodes like this, which are increasingly repeated inside and around different soccer stadiums in our country, prompt us as the Monterrey Football Club, with a certain and priority social responsibility, to seek measures within the legal framework for the safety of those who attend a stadium with open accessibility throughout its interior," the statement reads, determining that a game like the Clásico is High Risk.
