Santos Laguna prepares for next match
Santos Laguna began working for their next commitment, which will be on Thursday in the Round of 16 of the Copa MX, where they will host Necaxa at the Estadio Corona at 8:00 p.m.
Regarding the health of defender Ventura Alvarado, he is already in Torreon after being evaluated, without presenting any complications.
In the morning, the team reported to training at the TSM facilities, where the players who had more participation in the Saturday match against Cruz Azul carried out regenerative exercises in the gym.
The rest of the squad worked on small-sided activities on an alternate field, under the observation of coach José Manuel de la Torre and his coaching staff.
The team is looking to leave behind the bitterness of the defeat suffered against La Maquina and try to take advantage of being the home team in the match against Rayos, for a spot in the Quarterfinals of the Copa.
It is worth mentioning that Santos Laguna has already faced Necaxa precisely at this same stage, but in the previous edition of the tournament, a match that took place at the Estadio Victoria, where the green and whites obtained a 3-1 victory with goals from Diego de Buen, Jonathan Rodriguez, and Julio Furch.
Now, the team led by José Manuel de la Torre will continue working hard during these days, with the intention of maintaining the solid level shown in the Copa MX.
