The Macro Soccer Football School
The Macro Soccer Football School has been a fundamental part in the emergence and growth of women's soccer. Throughout its history, great soccer players have come out of its ranks, who have already had national and international participation.
Now, with the birth of the Women's MX League, five players from the school were selected to play for different teams: Tigres, Pachuca, Pumas, Necaxa, and Tijuana.
Nancy Antonio
Nancy Antonio, a product of the Macro Soccer Football School, currently plays for Tigres in the Women's MX League. In the 2017 Opening Tournament, she has played as a starter in all five games so far and has already scored one goal.
She has been part of the national team since she was 16 years old, playing in the U-20 category. In 2016, she finished as runner-up in the World Cup after losing to the United States.
Karen Gómez
Karen Gómez, at 16 years old, was part of the starting 11 for Pachuca in the Women's MX League match against Tijuana, where she was substituted in the 84th minute. She has started in three matches so far.
This year, she was called up to the U-17 national team to participate in the Gradisca Nations Tournament in Italy, where they finished in third place.
Karen Hernández
Signed by Pumas, 22-year-old Karen Hernández has started in all five matches of the tournament and scored her first goal in the team's first victory, a 3-0 win against Veracruz.
Diana González
Diana González made her debut as a starter for Necaxa in the match against Chivas, which the red-and-white team won 1-0. Diana is perhaps the only one of the five players from the Macro Soccer Football School who has not had much activity outside the institution.
Cinthia Huerta
Cinthia Huerta, one of the standout forwards from Macro Soccer Football School, is part of the Tijuana team, with whom she has played 3 matches so far, starting in one of them.
Huerta was part of the U-17 women's national team in 2013, where she participated in the CONCACAF Women's U-17 Championship in Jamaica, where the Mexican team won the championship by defeating Canada.
The Macro Soccer Football School continues to harvest talents by providing tryouts for teams from the Women's MX League so that its players can participate in the professional league.
