Guadalajara continues without winning in the Apertura 2017 after seven matchdays; their coach, Matías Almeyda, said that the game against Querétaro left him calm, as there has been an improvement compared to the one they showed against Santos midweek.

"There was a great improvement from the last game to this one. The team became combative again. The last game was the worst we played since I have been here. We knew this tournament would be tough, but we have to stay calm. We have to be objective, from this position we get out by working, not talking" he expressed in a press conference.

For the 'Pelado', there is no other formula than work and patience to overcome the winless streak of the Rebaño. He commented that the FIFA break will help them work on specific issues they have been able to identify in these games.

"Calmness is the path to follow and calmness will give us the solution to get out of this uncomfortable situation. Calmness and work. This team has fought difficult things before, but it's never the same because it's the first time we are in last place and we have to work three times as hard to get out of this situation," he concluded.

Although the qualifying matches overlap, Guadalajara has the commitment in the Copa MX against Santos in their stadium next week, in addition to facing Colombia's Atlético Nacional in the Super Cup of Champions at the Red Bull Arena on September 5, matches in which they will not have Orbelin Pineda, Jair Pereira, and Rodolfo Cota due to their call-ups to the Mexican national team.
