Pumas officially announces the arrival of Chilean midfielder Marcelo Díaz
The Pumas team has officially announced the arrival of Chilean midfielder Marcelo Díaz as their last reinforcement for the 2017 Apertura Tournament of Liga MX.
In a surprising move and without much noise, the Pedregal team has acquired the services of the Andean player, who comes from Celta de Vigo.
"Club Universidad Nacional informs that they made a great effort so that starting this Thursday, Marcelo Díaz, Chilean national team member, will be a new Pumas player," communicated the Mexican team.
"Welcome to Pumas 'Chelo' Díaz. I'm from Pumas," they added and a video was projected showing the South American player signing his contract, maybe to clear any doubts.
Welcome to Pumas, @CHELODIAZ_21! #SoyDePumas

Due to negotiation problems, despite having made it official, Uruguayan defender Gastón Silva left the university team hanging to prefer Argentine soccer.
This way, coach Juan Francisco Palencia will have one more element for the midfield with the incorporation of the 30-year-old player, who has defensive qualities but also can provide controlled ball distribution.
Díaz, who also played for Universidad de Chile, Basel (Switzerland) and Hamburg (Germany), in addition to being a national team member, will compete for a spot with players like the Spanish Abraham González and David Cabrera, in addition to being able to play on the wings.
Pumas beat Tigres to the punch, who seemed to have the Andean player tied up, after not reaching an agreement with Gary Medel, but in the end, UANL came up empty-handed.
