Pachuca Soccer Club takes an important step towards the round of 16 of the Copa MX in the 2017 Apertura Tournament of the Liga MX, after defeating Querétaro 1-0 in the last minute.

In a match of Group Eight, the La Corregidora stadium fell silent when a draw seemed inevitable, but in the 90+2 minute, Erick Sánchez scored with a shot from outside the box, leaving goalkeeper Gil Alcalá with no chance.

Sánchez came on as a substitute after the first half-hour of play, replacing star signing Edson Puch, who suffered an injury. Ultimately, the young "Tuzos" player made the difference in the match.

With no time left on the clock, Gallos Blancos were left empty-handed, with four points in second place in the group, while Tuzos climbed to the top with seven points. Cimarrones, already eliminated, languishes in last place.

There are two matches remaining in this group stage. Cimarrones will host Querétaro, and Pachuca will welcome the Sonoran team to conclude this phase. "Tuzos" are on the verge of reaching the next round, while Gallos must hope for a combination of results.
