Chivas Females Start on the Right Foot in the Women's MX League
Chivas Females started their journey in the Women's MX League on the right foot.
The match took place at Chivas San Rafael facilities, with over a thousand people in attendance at this sports academy in the east of the city.
Verde Valle dominated the match and didn't take long to reflect it on the scoreboard. The match opened with a goal from the youngest player of the institution, Anette Vázquez, whose shot defeated goalkeeper María Neri and gave them an advantage that they didn't lose throughout the match.
The second goal by the red-and-white team was scored by striker Daniela Pulido, who made it 2-0 at minute 23, bringing joy to the fans.
With the second goal by the red-and-white team, halftime arrived, and a response from Atlas was expected, but it never came.
The second half started with a third goal from the team led by 'Profe' Luis Fernando Camacho. A free kick close to the left sideline, crossed into the heart of the area, and none of the defense or the goalkeeper Neto could clear it, allowing Daniela Pulido to head the ball and change its direction to beat the Margaritas' goal.
With this result, the red-and-white team held on in the final minutes, and the match ended with a resounding victory for Chivas Females, who started their journey on the right foot in the Women's MX League.
Anette Vázquez commented on Chivas' first goal in the Women's MX League, saying that it is an honor to score her first goal against the Margaritas.
"I don't have words to describe this moment. We worked hard to get here, and now that we achieved victory, I'm very happy. Now we have to work even harder to continue on this path. I dedicate this goal to my family and all the people who believe in us," said Anette Vázquez.
