Apertura 2017

With the participation of 16 teams, the Apertura 2017 tournament of Ascenso MX will begin, in which only six clubs will have the right to move up to Primera after Clausura 2018.

Teams

Atlético de San Luis, Atlante, Celaya, Dorados, Juárez and Leones Negros will seek the return to the top circuit.

Challenging Competition

With the experience of having participated in Liga MX, the mentioned teams have accumulated years of seeking promotion, but each tournament their goal becomes more complicated due to tight competition, so fans long for those places of great tradition.

Participating Clubs

The clubs that will be in the A17 are: Alebrijes de Oaxaca, Atlante, Atlético Zacatepec, Cimarrones de Sonora, Correcaminos, Celaya, Dorados, FC Juárez, Mineros de Zacatecas, Murciélagos, TM Futbol, Potros UAEM, Leones Negros, Venados, Cafetaleros and Atlético de San Luis.

Tournament Format

The competition system determined that the champion of this tournament will face the champion of the Clausura 2018 Tournament in the promotion final, to determine which team of the two will reach Liga MX.

Tournament Start

The tournament will start on July 21st and 22nd. Zacatepec will now be called Club Atlético Zacatepec, football will return to San Luis Potosi with Atlético de San Luis and Coras moved to Morelos.
