After taking the example of the Pumas from UNAM, where a project was made from the directive to form and produce players in the 80's, the Argentine criticized the way teams like América and Chivas de Guadalajara are put together.

"Just to clarify that not all work well. Like the case of Chivas or América, where their signings are clear. El Rebaño buys the best players in Mexico like Alanís, Pereira, Salcido, the best Mexican midfielders like Gallito Vázquez, Pineda, Pizarro; look for players like Brizuela, Calderón or even repatriate Pulido; and cases like López, who are also not from their school, but from CECIFUT, which implies a spending of more than 50 million dollars," said Ricardo La Volpe.

Next, he criticized the fact that América, Tigres, and Monterrey are filled with foreigners and do not work on the Youth Divisions that would allow them to produce players from their own academies.

Although he did not mention it in the text, it is evident that Ricardo La Volpe referred to Juan Carlos Osorio, the coach of Mexico, when he mentioned the issue of rotations.

"Why does their coach make so many rotations? I see that in the world, the great teams have their starting players, being key to their system. (...) "We are sending a message to the world that we do not have great figures or leaders and that they do not see us as a dangerous powerhouse. This is not just the coach's fault, I believe it is a very important point for the players themselves because it surprises me that, in a dialogue with the coaching staff, the issue of being a starter is not addressed," he said.
