The Mexican Liga MX seeks to establish itself as a major international football transfer market, almost on par with Europe. This time, Pachuca surprised everyone and announced the signing of Japanese player Keisuke Honda from AC Milan in Italy.
"Hello, nice to meet you. I am Keisuke Honda. I just signed with Pachuca. I am very happy. Greetings to everyone. Thank you very much," said Keisuke Honda in Spanish after signing his contract with Pachuca in the Liga MX.
Keisuke Honda, 31 years old, comes from playing 3 seasons at AC Milan. He won an Asian Cup with the Japan national team and played in the 2010 South Africa and 2014 Brazil World Cups. Undoubtedly, a surprising signing on par with what Tigres did a few seasons ago with Frenchman André-Pierre Gignac.
In the current season, Pachuca aims to return to the top of the Liga MX, in addition to seeking to defend their current title in the Concachampions. But the main objective in the short term is to improve the participation of CONCACAF in the upcoming Club World Cup at the end of the year, where they could face the powerful Real Madrid.
