University National signs Joffre Guerrón and Mauro Formica
University National has acquired the services of Joffre Guerrón and Mauro Formica, two players who will strengthen the attack of the university team for the Opening 2017. Rodrigo Ares de Parga, president of the board of trustees and the board of directors of the university club, confirmed the arrival of the Ecuadorian and the Argentine respectively.
"We have reached an agreement with Abraham González and he will continue in the club, we talked about it and it is a good agreement, also David Cabrera returns to that position, he's someone from the club. At the top, Cruz Azul has given us authorization to sign (Mauro) Formica, they had some rights with that player here, and also the announcement that Joffre Guerrón is coming to Pumas, it is a fact already. There they are, and they are our four reinforcements; initially we would not do anything else, there may be some possibility of someone else, we will see in the end, but initially no more", said the executive.
Regarding the players who would leave the university discipline, Ares de Parga commented that "we still don't know anything" and pointed out that no one has approached to inquire about Darío Verón or Alejandro Palacios and if no offers arrive for them, they would not continue in the club.
He pointed out that what was acquired in the Draft "is what we wanted, Paco knows it and we insist that we will have 6 or 7 foreign players and the others will be 18 homegrown players in the first team, that is still the project: to give opportunities to the young players and fight, we have to qualify and fight for the top", he commented.
