Gignac on the verge of becoming a scoring legend in the Mexican Liga MX playoffs

André Pierre Gignac is on the verge of joining the scoring elite in the Liga MX playoffs, as he has been a key factor in helping Tigres stay alive in the Final against Chivas in the Clausura 2017. It only took him 5 minutes and 2 goals to bring the series back to the Regiomontanos.

André Pierre

The Frenchman arrived to make history, both collectively and individually; with Tigres, he has scored 56 goals (since 2015) and became the all-time leading scorer in the playoffs for the institution with 14 goals in 18 matches.

Furthermore, he currently ranks fifth in Tigres' all-time leading scorers, only behind Gerónimo Barbadillo - 59 goals - and Tomas Boy, who is the leader with 102. Gignac has scored 6 goals in the 'Gran Fiesta'.

José Saturnino Cardozo
