Carlos Salcido, captain of Chivas, will play his second League final with the team, but with 13 years apart. The player from Ocotlan suffered a fall that left him breathless last Sunday and prevented him from finishing the match against Toluca, but now he claims that no blow or injury will prevent him from playing these two games against Tigres.

"I fell badly in the last match and suddenly I couldn't breathe and I tried to breathe and catch my breath. I tried to hold on, but I couldn't anymore, but it wasn't a blow that would prevent me from playing. Now I am eager for this to start."

Salcido missed out on playing the 2006 final because he went to Europe, which is why he now says he wants to be champion with this team, as he knows that at 37 years old the chances of returning to a final can be reduced.

"I remember that final we lost, it's tough, it's very complicated to lose a final on penalties, because you know what it means. Now we have a good opportunity, we have it here and we enjoy it and we want to do it well."

"That is said because of how they arrive, but personally these matches are played differently, it will be different from the tournament. You know what you are playing for, you know it is the final push and on our part we will do everything possible to lift the Cup and we will see what happens."

If you lift the Cup on Sunday, will you retire?

"What is that? I have always seen myself as a champion, and that's it, we'll see. I had to experience it from a distance when Chivas won, I was already in Europe when they won the one in 2006 and I was glad. Now I enjoy it and I desire it like everyone, I hope I can lift it."

El Negro Salcido did not want to speak only about Gignac's potential, as he says that Chivas is prepared for the final, without thinking about a specific player.

"They are an important team, everyone is important, they have many players that you can't give them any chance," Salcido concluded.
