Xolos coach Miguel Herrera confirms contact with América
Xolos coach Miguel Herrera confirmed that the América directive has already approached Xolos to return to the blue and cream bench.
"Right now I have a big commitment with Xolos, after that we will sit down to see what happens, but there has already been contact between the América directive and the Xolos directive. Last week they talked to Jorge (Hank Izunza, owner of Tijuana). My idea is to finish here well to see if I continue here or if there is a possibility of leaving," 'Piojo' said in an interview with Fox Sports.
Furthermore, Miguel Herrera commented on Ricardo La Volpe's departure, stating that América has a great demand and if the objectives are not met, "you lose your job" and not qualifying for the playoffs was enough reason for the Argentine not to continue as the team's strategist.
"In that team, if you don't achieve the objectives, you lose your job. Today, América is eliminated from a tournament in which it seemed to have the qualification in the bag. It has always been like this in all teams, but América has much higher demands," he expressed.
