Journalist José Ramón Fernández criticizes Chivas' return to traditional television

Journalist José Ramón Fernández did not agree with Chivas' return to traditional television, specifically to Televisa.

Through Twitter, the sports journalist asked Jorge Vergara, owner of the Guadalajara soccer team, to remove the plaque with his name from the press room at Estadio Chivas, arguing that "the journalist's freedom is above everything else."

I hope, as soon as possible, you remove the plaque with my name from the press room. The journalist's freedom is above everything else.

'Joserra' explained his request after considering the union between the television network and the red and white team as a setback in terms of football broadcasts.

"Football is a business. Chivas had taken a seemingly brave step, separating from the monopoly, but planned poorly and let themselves be defeated," wrote the sports analyst.

He stated that the club had "little endurance" and returned to a company that "stopped talking about the team for a year."

What a shame! What a disgrace! What little endurance! What little dignity! That same company stopped talking about your team for more than a year, Jorge Vergara...

He also took the opportunity to criticize José Luis Higuera, CEO of Grupo Omnilife-Chivas, who simply responded that they could discuss the matter on his show.

Vergara, you created a monster with José L Higuera. It would have been easy and better to bring together all the pay TV platforms with an excellent offer.

My dear @joserra_espn, whenever you want, we can debate this issue on your show, with an open mind. Thank you for your comments👍
