The viral blooper of a journalist when presenting a Champions League match: "I'm very sorry"

A television presenter provoked laughter from her colleagues after a rude mistake during a live broadcast.

The incident occurred when presenting the discussion prior to the second leg match between Inter Milan and AC Milan, corresponding to the first semi-final of the Champions League in Europe.

Just as British journalist and presenter Kate Abdo was talking about the important on-field commitment, she mentioned the network responsible for the live broadcast; however, she got the name wrong.

“Speaking of that, there are other people who are not so fortunate to be here tonight,” she began. “Your Fox Sports... Fox Sports? We are on CBS!”.

Realizing her mistake, the presenter turned around and looked embarrassed. This happened while panelists and former Premier League stars Micah Richards, Thierry Henry, and Jamie Carragher couldn't stop laughing.

Abdo tried to blame the slow-moving teleprompter for not being able to read her lines fast enough, but soon apologized.

“I'm about to get fired”

“I'm about to get fired,” the host added. “We're all going to be fired!”, exclaimed former Liverpool defender Carragher, before adding, “Is there any job at Fox?”.

It is worth mentioning that the team formed by Abdo, Richards, Henry, and Carragher has become one of the favorites of viewers due to the chemistry they share on screen.

Inter Milan, in the Champions semi-final

Inter had no major difficulties and managed to defeat their classic rival Milan in the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League. After the 2-0 first leg, the team led by Simone Inzaghi did not disappoint their fans and won 1-0 in the rematch with a great goal from Lautaro Martínez.
