Duván Zapata is recognized in the city of Bergamo for his valuable contribution with the Atalanta jersey, a club he has been defending since July 2018. However, fame was not on his side recently, as the forward experienced an embarrassing moment when he visited a bank and this story reached the main local media.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the attacker of the Colombian national team went to the Fideuram headquarters in Piazza Matteotti, as he had an appointment with a financial advisor and also had some business to attend to. However, the number 9 did not expect to receive a negative response at the doors of the place.
According to the information published by the Italian newspaper, security personnel prevented the 31-year-old athlete from entering the mentioned bank. In fact, those in charge of security used a confusing phrase to address the South American: "Where do you think you're going? This is not a place for you, go somewhere else", according to the quoted source.
Why was Duván Zapata denied entry?
Duván Zapata, surprised by the scene, tried to identify himself to the men at the bank entrance. Furthermore, the goal scorer explained the reason for his visit and the dialogue went on for a few minutes, but the prohibition remained until one of the Fideuram officials showed up to clarify the situation.
After the matter was resolved, the financial institution issued a statement: "Duván is one of our clients, but security couldn't know that. The employees were simply doing their job, ensuring us a security service in an intermediate space between the entrance and the street", they stated.

Duván Zapata returns to play
This week, the 'cafetero' returned to training with the Atalanta first team after suffering an injury that kept him off the field since September 1st. According to the official accounts of the Bergamo club, the player participated in a friendly match on Thursday against Ponte San Pietro.
