After Shakira and Gerard Piqué announced in late June that their 12-year relationship had come to an end, the names of both figures have dominated the headlines of international media.
And even more so after images were released showing the Catalan footballer showering Clara Chía with love during a concert. And if that wasn't enough, the new couple was also caught arriving hand in hand to a wedding of an intimate friend of Gerard Piqué.
Amidst all the scandal, many wonder about the terms reached by the Colombian and Piqué regarding Milan and Sasha, the children they have together.
Initially, various Spanish media outlets reported that Shakira had reached an agreement with the FC Barcelona footballer for both children to be able to move to Miami with her and start a new life away from the controversy. It was also indicated that the Colombian singer would have to settle a debt with Piqué amounting to over US$400,000.
Another condition for Milan and Sasha to move to Miami would have been for Shakira to purchase first-class plane tickets for Gerard to visit his children at least five times a year.
However, the agreement would have been left behind after Gerard publicly exposed himself with Clara Chia. Amidst all these speculations, the singer's lawyer, Pilar Mañé, had a meeting with the press and was questioned about the controversial separation.
Although she couldn't provide details due to confidentiality with her client, nor reveal anything about her strategy, she does make it clear that the objective is to reach an agreement.
"That's what we all hope for," she assured when approached at the door of the interpreter's house, known for songs like "Chantaje", "La Bicicleta", and "Antología".
