Unbelievable! Thomas Henry, forward for Hellas Verona, gave a strong blow to Kevin Lasagna's face
An unfortunate celebration for Hellas Verona. French player Thomas Henry knocked out his teammate, Kevin Lasagna, with an elbow during the goal celebration in the 5-2 defeat against Napoli, in the first matchday of the Italian Serie A.
Early in the second half, around the 3rd minute, the French forward scored the temporary 2-2 equalizer and during his celebration, when he jumped, he accidentally hit the Italian striker in the face.
Lasagna was in pain on the ground, but minutes later he recovered and continued playing until the 72nd minute when he was substituted by Bosnian player Milan Djuric.
Napoli's goal fest
Napoli, forced to reinvent themselves without Koulibaly, Insigne, and Mertens, won and put on a show at the Hellas Verona's stadium (5-2), in the first matchday of the Serie A.
Hellas Verona, recently eliminated from the Italian 'Coppa' by Serie B's Bari, took the lead through Kevin Lasagna (29) and managed to equalize early in the second half (Thomas Henry, 48).
But Napoli displayed their superiority with a headed goal from Kvaratskhelia (37) and a shot from Osimhen (45+3) after a corner kick from the far post.
Napoli pulled away in the second half thanks to goals from Piotr Zielinski (55), Stanislav Lobotka (65), and Matteo Politano (79).
