Torino's preseason continues as the players push themselves to the limit before the start of the official competition

The Torino club has experienced some unrest in recent days, as a viral video showed a fight between Ivan Jurić, the team's coach, and Davide Vagnati, the Sporting Director.

The portal Calcio Mercato published a video on Twitter with the mentioned individuals at the team's training center. In the footage, it can be seen how the two members of the Italian team start arguing forcefully, while Marco Pellegri, the Team Manager, tries to calm them down.

Precisely, the third person involved was instrumental in preventing Ivan Jurić and Davide Vagnati from exchanging blows: he intervened between them and separated them. It was learned that the fight originated because the coach had a direct conversation with the president of Torino regarding reinforcements, which made the Sporting Director uncomfortable.

After their surprising fight, the director was interviewed by Sky Sport and revealed that the matter had been clarified: "There was a discussion, as you have seen. When two people care so much about doing things right, these situations occur. The coach asked for new players as soon as possible, we understand his concern, and we are going to sign what he needs."

"After what happened, we hugged. The fight is over, we have already said what we had to say. We are both genuine people who express what they think. There are big goals, and from fights like this, you can start again. We have a great coach," Davide Vagnati concluded about Jurić.

How did Torino perform last season?

Torino had an inconsistent participation in the 2021-22 Serie A season and finished in tenth place with 50 points, resulting from 13 wins, 11 draws, and 14 losses. One of the main issues for the team was their offense, as they only managed to score 46 goals, ranking seventh with the lowest average. Andrea Belotti was the top scorer with eight goals but will not continue with the club.
