Paulo Dybala, 28, who became a free agent after terminating his contract with Juventus, will sign with Roma.
The Argentine forward was photographed in Portugal with the sports director of the Roman club, Tiago Pinto.
According to Sky Sport Italy, the Argentine forward is preparing to undergo his medical visit and sign a three-year contract for six million euros ($6.05 million) per season, including bonuses, with Roma, Sky announces.
Dybala had initially been linked, according to rumors, with Inter Milan, the runner-up of Italy and qualified for the Champions League.
Roma, coached by Portuguese manager José Mourinho, only finished in sixth place in Serie A and will play in the Europa League Conference next season.
After joining Juve in 2015 from Palermo, Dybala won five Italian championships and four cups with the Turin club, but lost in the 2017 Champions League final against Real Madrid.
His last two seasons at Juventus were affected by various injuries. AFP
