Roberto Mancini, coach of the Italian National Team, stated that the match against Argentina is one of the greatest games in the history of world football and that Wednesday's match will be "the end of a cycle."

"It's a great pleasure for me to be here," said Roberto Mancini, who won the European Championship in this same stadium a year ago. "Wembley is an impressive stadium, especially because a year ago we were here celebrating being European champions," he added.

Regarding whether this match serves to heal the wounds of the absence from the upcoming Qatar 2022 World Cup, Mancini pointed out that "not really," but that they should enjoy the match.

"Italy against Argentina is one of the greatest games in the history of football. It's going to be a great match. Italy can put on a great show. It's a shame because I wanted to have all the players available, but I think we're going to have a great game," he said.

The Italian coach has the absences of Federico Chiesa, Ciro Immobile, and Marco Verratti for Wednesday's match: "Many important players are missing, but I'm sure that those who step on the field will have a great game."

About the future, Roberto Mancini insisted that Wednesday's match "is the end of a cycle." "But this doesn't mean that 15 or 20 players are going to disappear. After tomorrow, some players will come in because we need them to gain experience," he said.
