Switzerland qualifies for the World Cup
The European qualifiers for the Qatar 2022 in Europe reached their final stage, which confirmed the first teams to qualify for the World Cup. The Swiss Football Association shared a video on their Twitter account, with the current coach as the protagonist, in which they show how they prepared a box of chocolates, which was later sent to the Northern Ireland national team. The coach took great care in arranging the gifts.
"93 minutes without conceding a goal against the European champion Italy = 9.3 kg of Swiss chocolate sent to Northern Ireland," wrote coach Murat Yakin in the letter of gratitude that he included with the gifts.
Switzerland took advantage of the context of the cold winter in Europe and the upcoming Christmas season to send the sweets. So far, the Irish Federation has not responded, but surely within the next few hours they will receive the gift at their facilities.
Northern Ireland troubles Italy
The goalless draw between Northern Ireland and Italy forced the 'Azzurra' to play the playoffs of the UEFA Qatar 2022 qualifiers. The path for the Italian team to reach the World Cup will be difficult, as they will have to overcome two single-match rounds.
