Football player Kevin Grosskreutz fired by Stuttgart after incident
The football player Kevin Grosskreutz, world champion in Brazil 2014, was fired today by Stuttgart due to a nocturnal incident that ended with the player in the hospital, confirmed today the club of the German Second Division.
"From Stuttgart's point of view, the incident cannot remain without consequences", stated the sporting director, Jan Schindelmeiser, regarding the club's decision to terminate the contract.

In the early hours of Tuesday, the former German international went out partying with some young people and was injured after a fight with another group. The 28-year-old footballer ended up in the hospital.
Grosskreutz announced his decision to temporarily retire from professional football, as he indicated in a media appearance today in Stuttgart. The world champion apologized for his behavior to the team and fans. "I made a mistake and I am very sorry", he declared.
