Real Madrid's search for a new goalkeeper

Among the main objectives the Real Madrid has set for the coming season, undoubtedly, is to find a new goalkeeper who can take over from Keylor Navas, a goalkeeper who, despite offering more than acceptable performance in recent years, does not seem to please the board.

Until now, the press that follows the news of the white team has put on the table the names of Spanish David de Gea (Manchester United), Belgian Thibaut Courtois (Chelsea) and Italian Gianluigi Donnarumma (Juventus), but there are other alternatives that could be much more affordable.

In fact, according to Record, Real Madrid has also shown interest in the situation of 23-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson Moraes, who managed to establish himself in Benfica's starting eleven during the final stretch of last season and who has consolidated himself as one of the main leaders of the squad this season (with 33 official matches).

With a contract in force until June 2023 and a release clause of €60M, the signing of the Brazilian will not only depend on the tough negotiation with Benfica, but will also be influenced by the competition that clubs such as FC Barcelona or Manchester City can exert.
