In front of a great ovation from thousands of attendees, Alan Ruschel, one of the three survivors of the Chapecoense, returned to the field.
Individually, the football player arrived at the stadium to give the honorary kick-off of the charity match named Lance de Craque 2016, which will be played at the Beira Rio stadium in Brazil. This edition aims to raise funds to help the families of the victims of the plane crash.
The 27-year-old player was the guest of the night and upon entering the sports field, he was greeted by Argentine Andrés D'Alessandro, who accompanied him to the center of the field so that the Brazilian could make a commemorative kick.
Then both of them showed the shirts of defender Helio Neto and goalkeeper Jackson Follmann, the other two players who survived the plane crash prior to the Copa Sudamericana final that resulted in the death of 71 people.
"I get along very well with Alan Ruschel, with whom we were teammates and who will be part of this match in some way," said D'Alessandro, one of the main promoters of this friendly match.
Last weekend, Ruschel stated that he plans to return to playing football. "I can return to playing in about five or six months because I need three months for it to calcify and then restore the muscle mass", he said.
