An unsatisfied James becomes a problem for Madrid.

James Rodriguez, Colombian midfielder, revealed his frustration about the little playing time he has had under Zinedine Zidane after Real Madrid won the title in Japan.

Satisfied by his lack of activity, James Rodríguez has become a nuisance for Real Madrid.

While most of his teammates celebrated the Spanish club's victory in the Club World Cup in Japan, the Colombian revealed to reporters his disappointment with not playing enough under coach Zinedine Zidane's command.

Rodríguez even hinted that he could leave Madrid, which means the team would start 2017 either trying to give more playing time to the 25-year-old midfielder or find him a new club.

Rodríguez, who arrived at Madrid with high expectations after shining with the Colombian national team in the 2014 World Cup, has a contract until June 2020, but the player has expressed that he will take advantage of his free time in December to make a decision regarding his future.

"Sometimes everything is not as one wants. But you have to be calm and I have these seven days to be able to think everything through," he said. "I want to be here. You have to think everything through and I can't assure you yes or no, because I want to play more. I want to stay. I am happy here but I want to play more. If you want to play more, you have to think everything through and find solutions."

The Colombian, who played the last 20 minutes of Madrid's Club World Cup semifinal match against Club América from Mexico, said he was disappointed not to have the opportunity to see action in the final.

Rodríguez quickly became one of Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti's favorites upon his arrival at the team after the World Cup, but his playing time gradually decreased in the following seasons.

The talented midfielder has had very few opportunities to stand out in Zidane's scheme, who has preferred to use more dynamic players in the midfield. Rodríguez has been relegated to the bench most of the time, and sometimes he hasn't even seen action as a substitute.

"If I were James, I wouldn't leave. I would stay at this great club," commented the French coach. "I am the one who has to make decisions and I believe he will get minutes here. We know the quality he has and what he can bring to us. He is going to be an important player."

The top scorer in the 2014 World Cup, Rodríguez has only scored two goals in 16 appearances this season, one of them in the 6-1 victory over Cultural Leonesa in the Copa del Rey, when most of the team's starting lineup was rested.

If the Colombian chooses to leave Real Madrid, it is very likely that the club will try to negotiate a trade or loan instead of keeping the midfielder. He is likely to still be sought after by some top European teams, and the Spanish media already link him to clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea, and Inter Milan.

Real Madrid's next game is on January 7 against Granada in the Spanish league, a competition they currently lead with 37 points after 15 games.
